Our approach to photography

We have a unique approach to wellness.  Our courses not only aim to boost skill and creativity through photography, but to also focus on the aspects of wellness: the joy of venturing into nature and focusing on beauty which can help us become more present in the moment.  We share our special moments together in small supportive groups online. We cater for those who may not be able to leave the house at all or have limited access to outside space.


Over 6 weeks of weekly sessions, join us online discovering how to see nature in many artistic ways which are often outside of the traditional wildlife image. Whether you find the beauty of a houseplant in your home or venture into the woods to find wildlife, we aim to help you utilise your camera or mobile phone camera to capture the beauty around you and help you feel  in the moment. The sessions are one and a half hours long and we always have a 10 minute break in the middle.

The briefs that were set by Well Image were really enjoyable because you could be creative and it really gave me an excuse to get up a lot of the time. Before I didn't really want to get out of bed because it meant facing the day but having something to look forward to now has changed things for me

 Yes, definitely! Many of our participants use their smartphone cameras to capture images throughout the course. We provide tips, tricks, and techniques perfectly suited to mobile photography, ensuring that you can make the most out of your device and capture beautiful moments in nature. If you us a dslr or mirrorless camera, that's ok too. The exploration is much more to do with themes and expression then the highly technical aspects of photography.


We have a maximum of 10 people sign up for the sessions. The tutor will put people at ease and sets the scene for a very supportive, non competitive environment from the start. We encourage participation from the group and this is encouraged particularly through the chat function.


Our workshops are not just about photography; they're about fostering a deeper connection with nature and yourself. Through guided topics you'll learn to appreciate the present moment and find tranquility in the beauty of the natural world. By cultivating mindfulness and awareness, you'll not only enhance your photography skills but also experience a sense of peace and rejuvenation that extends beyond the camera lens. 


 Absolutely! Our course is designed to cater to individuals with varying levels of photography experience. Whether you're a complete novice or a keen amateur, our workshops will introduce you to new perspectives and creative approaches to capturing the beauty of nature.
